Teleton

Over the past day I've been experiencing a uniquely Chilean phenomenon: the Teleton. Every year, the Chilean broadcasting companies put together singers, celebrities, and politicians in a big two-day production to garner donations to a charitable cause. It's been going on for over thirty years, and usually its at the end of the year. However, there is a special one this weekend just for victims of the earthquake.
